The history of hip hop and what happens to an expired domain

Hip Hop Music has been around seemingly for centuries, but the truth is that this music genre only began in the 1970’s. Before this time, much of the rock and roll music that the world listened to was virtually synonymous with country music. The music that we know today as Hip Hop began with a Jamaican DJ named Kool Herc.
Herc moved from Kingston, Jamaica to New York City and began to filter his Jamaican style into music. Rap or Hip Hop first caught on due to the fact that it gave young New York natives the ability to express themselves. Hip Hop has long been known as an art form in which anyone can contribute.

Heroes of Hip Hop are many, with special emphasis places on such greats as Eminem. In a musical world known today as consisting of mostly African-American artists, Eminem has become one of the most popularly known and listened to Hip Hop artists of all time. Other Hip Hop giants include 2Pac, who was killed in a shooting incident on September 13, 1996, and P Diddy, who is also known by other names such as Puff Daddy and Sean Combs. The former name is the one in which he markets his clothing line.

There is much information over the internet about Hip Hop music, its history and the many heroes of the trade. It is also important to note the number of domain names related to the Hip Hop music craze that become available for purchase each day. Of all the millions of websites on the worldwide web, many domains are left to become deleted domains simply because the current owner has lost interest in the website or may have simply forgotten to renew their domain name.

expired domain are readily found every day. Those related to Hip Hop music are available in multitudes just waiting for a new webmaster to come and claim them. Once a domain has expired or been deleted, they are ready for anyone to come along and pay to own them. Typically, a domain that has expired will go into a renewal hold period for about three months. During these three months, the current owner has the opportunity to renew his domain name from the registrar that he is using. If, at the end of this period, the current owner has decided not to renew for whatever reason, then the domain name goes into what is called a redemption period. If the owner decides to renew during this time he will be forced to pay extra fees, which normally cost around one-hundred dollars, depending on the registrar. This extra fee does not include the renewal fee.

After the redemption period, if the domain remains un-renewed, then it will be available for the public to purchase. If that particular domain has been established for a number of years and has a high page rank, as well as good, strong backlinks, then it can be very difficult for the owner to reclaim it due to its monetary value.
